About the Erasmus+ programme

Erasmus+ is a European Union programme that enables students to study abroad, participate in international professional mobility, or implement international educational projects.

Erasmus+ is crucial to the creation of the European Education Area, planned for 2025. Through it, the European Union intends to, among other things, ensure access to the highest quality education and training for all young people, enable learners to easily move between education systems in different countries, and provide them with opportunities to find work throughout Europe.

The National Agency of the Erasmus+ Programme and the implementer of the Erasmus+ Programme in Poland is the Foundation for the Development of the Education System.

The structure of the Erasmus+ program includes the following elements:

• Action 1. Learning Mobility,
• Action 2. Cooperation between Organizations and Institutions
• Central Actions: Erasmus Mundus, Innovation Alliances, Jean Monnet.

The International Relations Department at the University of Szczecin coordinates activities under Action 1.

Under this Action, the program is divided into:
1. KA131 mobility, i.e., mobility with EU Member States and third countries associated with the Programme;
2. KA171 mobility, i.e., mobility with third countries not associated with the Programme.

Students can travel abroad for studies (SMS) at partner universities and for traineeships (SMT) at enterprises, organizations, or institutions operating in other countries participating in the programme. Recent graduates can also travel abroad for traineeships.
Staff of the University of Szczecin can benefit from two types of mobility: mobility for teaching at foreign universities (STA) and mobility for training purposes (STT).
