- IMPAKT – a project created under the Erasmus Mundus programme, funded by the European Commission, dedicated to developing relations between Europe and Asia through mobility between these regions. Its aim was to promote European higher education, broaden students’ career prospects, and facilitate intercultural understanding with third-world countries, thus contributing to the sustainable development of higher education in these countries.
Action 2 of the Erasmus Mundus programme aimed to build university partnerships, transformed into consortia composed of European universities and higher education institutions in third-world countries, and to organize the mobility of students and staff between Europe and third-world countries on scholarships lasting from three months to three years.
Grants, including monthly allowances, travel costs, insurance, and tuition fees, could be awarded to students from undergraduate to post-doctoral studies, as well as to research and administrative staff, to enhance their skills and share knowledge.
IMPAKT was selected by the European Commission for the period 2014-2018. The University of Rouen coordinated a consortium of 20 higher education institutions, including 8 European, 12 Asian, and 11 associated partners. Seventeen countries participated in the programme. IMPAKT focused primarily on economics, education, natural sciences, law, management, and planning.

Project implemented between 2021 and 2024, was recognized as an example of good practice in partnership projects under the Erasmus+ programme.
The project leader was the University of Szczecin, and its partners included Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, the University of Porto (Portugal), Rovira i Virgili University (Spain), the Global Impact Institute (Czech Republic), and SGroup – Universities in Europe (Spain).
The project aimed to develop solutions for the education of future teachers that would enable them to acquire the intercultural competencies necessary for working in schools. These solutions were based on locally conducted activities promoting internationalization and inclusive education. The project included preparing a report on the education of future teachers at various European universities, conducting a series of training sessions for academic staff and students of teacher education programs, and developing a DITE model that allows for the implementation of international elements in the teacher education process. This model can be applied by various institutions and countries.
The project was coordinated by the International Relations Department at the University of Szczecin, with invaluable support from staff at the US Institute of Pedagogy, the US Institute of Linguistics, and the US Institute of Physical Culture Sciences.
